For God So Loved the World He Gave a Savior

For God So Loved the World He Gave a Savior

The entire imagery of a Savior can be summed up in an Old Testament scripture that says…

“…for the young man found the young woman out in the country, and though the betrothed woman screamed, there was no one to rescue her.”  (Deuteronomy 22:27)

The shepherds and the wise men in the Christmas story had a much richer imagery of what a savior meant than we do.  Join us as Pastor Les digs into the story and connects the Good News of the Savior with the laws of the Old Testament.

  • Yes, there were lambs involved in ritual sacrifice, but what about the two goats?
  • No, birds weren’t involved in Leviticus 16 but the were in chapter 14.  What were they for?
  • How does all this connect with the Good News of the birth of baby Jesus?

“The name of Jesus is above all names and the name God gives you
is above all the names others have called you.”
