In the Kingdom There is No Tent

In the Kingdom There is No Tent

“With the Kingdom of Heaven in our hearts and minds, Church becomes a training ground instead of a baby sitting club.
Church becomes a place where we seek to feed the world with our 5 loaves and 2 fishes,
instead of a place of potlucks and  pizza parties
.”

This morning we are going to take a look at an Old Testament scripture about God’s presence, about Heaven Coming to Earth to visit with Moses, and my desire is that you become aware of some of the Old Testament beliefs you may have that keep you from asking for and pursuing the Kingdom fo Heaven here on earth.

It is Old Testament, it is Kingdom of Religion, to teach that there is a tent we must go to.  There was a tent, there is no longer a tent.  There was a temple, there is no longer a temple.  Now, Being Kingdom Minded does not mean Church no longer matters.  What does it mean then?  It means that the Church takes on a new meaning, a fresh meaning, and instead of Church being a place we go or a goal to get ‘right’, Church becomes a vehicle thru which The Kingdom Comes, God’s Will is done, on Earth as it Is in Heaven.

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you,
whom you have received from God? You are not your own;
 you were bought at a price.
Therefore honor God with your bodies.”
(I Corinthians 6:19-20 NIV)
