Why You Want a Faith Gap

Why You Want a Faith Gap

Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
(John 6:29)

I want to share this morning about Faith Gaps and why we should create some gaps in our lives that can only be filled by the activation of our own faith.

A Gap is a break between two objects.  A Faith Gap is the distance between what you are currently experiencing and what you see in your future.  The GAP is only narrowed or filled by Your Faith.

Moses experienced a Faith Gap when God told him that he was going to free Israel from Egyptian captivity.  Moses had 40 years of reasons why he was not qualified to free anyone (the Gap is full of ‘facts’!)

A Faith Gap was created for the disciples when Jesus was arrested, crucified and buried.  It was easy for them to declare that the Presence of Jesus changed lives UNTIL Jesus was taken from them.

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him”
(Hebrews 11:6)
