“To prophesy is to connect your tongue with God’s heart”
This morning we experienced a small but powerful prophetic activation where Les spoke a ‘word’ over someone and then had 4 mothers ‘act’ out that word with hugs and whispers. It started (in Les) with an image, then an emotion and then morphed into a very short, sweet and powerful word of God moment for our friend.
Pastor Les agrees with the Apostle Paul that all would speak in tongues and prophesy. At The Journey we don’t make out prophesy to be some unattainable Super Person spiritual gift but something that we all can begin to do today by declaring appropriate life giving scriptures over others. We also don’t create a weird atmosphere around prophesy and hearing God’s voice but we do honor it by giving place to it, seeking not to quench or grieve the Spirit of God.
“I would like every one of you to speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy.”
(I Corinthians 14:5)
