Our Purpose
Jesus Christ is The Journey
Our purpose is to help people experience Jesus Christ—He is the journey. Those who experience the journey are meant to invite all to join the journey.
Our church journey is guided by God’s Great Commandment to love and Jesus Christ’s Great Commission to go. Our purpose defines how we read the map of life, how we travel together, and what we deem important for this life.
Our purpose is to get people on this “Jesus journey” and help them develop “Christ-strength” so they can help others travel well on the journey. “We believe when we are committed to a journey of God-love and God-stories that we will grow great people, do great things, and live great lives.
The Great Commandment: Jesus said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart…soul…and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:36-40
The Great Commission: Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:19-20
