Imagining the Impossible

Imagining the Impossible

“Now to Him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us…” (Ephesians 3:20 NIV)

It must be the power of Holy Spirit.  It is definitely not our own power.  It is not the power of Humanity that is working in us.

Each one of us believes that there is power working within us, correct?  But to what level do we believe there is power working within us? To the level of getting us into heaven?

Or, to the level of bringing heaven to earth?  And, who or what determines the level of the power working within us?

Is it God?  Or, is it us?  (Pause)  It is US–you and I decide at which level we will ask, think and imagine.

Now, just because someone is able to do something, does not mean that they will do the thing they are able to do.  For example, my neighbor is able to mow my yard for me all summer yet he is not likely to do that.  I think that when scripture says God is “able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we ask or think…”  well, I think that He is then going to perform and accomplish that which we ask or think.

The power of God that is working within us is the power of God that flows thru us.  The Power of God working within us does not jump onto someone else for their healing–That power of God working within us flows thru us and brings healing to the people around us.

IF we are waiting on The Power of God to do something without us involved, then we will be waiting a long, long time.

Said another way, Stop Waiting on God to Do something and start Acting like God has already done something.

Our Imagination, Not His!

Isn’t it Amazing that God attaches His Divine Plan (?)  to our Imagination and to Our Words?  Wow!!

Let’s look at this word Imagination, which in the Greek is Nooumen (#3539).  It means “to exercise the mind”.

When we Ask OR Imagine, when we Request or Stretch Our Minds, then, according to “the power that is at work within us” …”He is able to do infinitely more”

What?

Does God limit Himself to stay at the Level of what We Ask or Imagine?

Yes.  Wow!

We are His children and He loves hanging out with us, playing with us, and building things with us.

The God who can DO All things wants to partner with our Imagination and Our Words in order to bring about those things.
